ABOUT

Are you looking for a fun way to get some exercise? Form a team and register for the Strand Scavenger Hunt! Teams will work together to solve clues and travel by foot to various sites in Moundsville! Each team will travel approximately 5km in distance. The key to this race is strategy! Solve the clues, travel to each site, take a pic to prove you all were there and head back to the theatre. Prizes awarded to the first three teams to finish and the best team costumes.

DATE

Saturday, September 25, 2021

TIMELINE

· 8:45-9:45am – Registration

· 10:00am-1:00pm – Race

· 1:00pm – All teams must report back to the Strand regardless of clue completion

· 1:30pm – Awards

LOCATION

The race will begin and end inside the Strand Theatre. It will take place throughout the city of Moundsville.

COST

$20 per person (includes participation in race, t-shirt for pre-registrants by September 10, Strand Theatre water bottle, two slices of pizza and a bottle of water)

RULES

· Team must check in together at the registration table

· Foot travel only

· Teams must have at least two members

· All team members must remain together

· Each team must have one designated team leader

· All teams must have a cell phone/camera that will take photos and video. A selfie stick is recommended for larger groups as all team participants must be included in each photo.

· All team members must be in every photo/video

· All teams must report back by 1:00 end of race, even if clues not completed

· Team costumes are encouraged. Prize will be award to the best team costume!

REGISTRATION

· Registration Deadline – Friday, September 10, 2021

· Participants must register by Friday, September 10, 2021, to receive a t-shirt

· Participants can also register at the Strand the day of the event from 8:45-9:45am. This registration does not include a shirt.
