​ABOUT THE SHOW

 

The Strand Theatre Preservation Society is thrilled to welcome LIVE theater to Moundsville with its musical production of Love, Loss and What I Wore. The show runs Saturday, October 17, at 7pm, and Sunday, October 18, at 2pm.

This evocative and moving play features monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memory. Based on the bestselling book by Ilene Beckerman and written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, the show covers important subjects – mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses and why we only wear black.

 

The cast and crew consist of artists from across the Ohio Valley. Cast members include Vera Barton-Maxwell, Makayla Carney, Melody Meadows, Veda Wheeler, Santina Vigliotti. The production is directed by Sadie Varlas. Sound and light design will be provided by Sean Geery and Paige Wallace.

 

Tickets for Love, Loss and What I Wore go on sale October 1, at Frame & Fortunes on Jefferson Avenue in Moundsville and online at www.strandtheatrewv.com/events. Adult tickets are $15 and student tickets are $10. All patrons, regardless of age, must purchase a ticket.

 

This project is supported with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Tourism and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
