About The Event
The Strand Theatre Preservation Society is thrilled to welcome LIVE theater to Moundsville with its musical production of The Addams Family! The show runs July 29 and 30 at 7pm and July 31 at 2pm. CLICK HERE to meet the cast.
The Addams Family is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. The cast and crew consist of artists from across the Ohio Valley.
The production is directed by Shelby Garrett with musical direction by Justin Jones, choreography by Anna Harsh, and technical direction by Meta Lasch. Cast members include Peter Lim (Gomez Addams), Jamie Faulkiner (Morticia Addams), Keyz Karanza (Fester Addams), Aubree Gray (Grandma Addams), Amanda McGovern (Wednesday Addams), Cori Brown (Pugsley Addams), Michael Wylie (Lurch), Evan Oslund (Mal Beineke), Mary Musgrove (Alice Beineke), and Corey Rogers (Lucas Beineke). The ensemble of Addams family ancestors includes Jacob Boyette, Ethan Casey, Rose Cunningham, Alexa Jasinski, Sarah McBee, Shanan Stout, Khloe Trussell, Abby Young.
Pre-selected community members will have the chance to appear on stage during the production, and audience members will give to donations prior to the show and during intermission to “vote” for their favorite. The person collecting the highest amount of donations will appear on stage during Act 2! All proceeds from the walk-on role will benefit Kathy’s House.
The production is sponsored in part by Bordas & Bordas and Fawn & Jim Price
