Missoula Children's Theatre Presents: Jack and the Beanstalk

The Strand Theatre is thrilled to be bringing back Missoula Children's Theatre yet again! This year, MCT will be bringing the classic story "Jack and the Beanstalk"!

What happens when a young boy plants Wonder Beans in his own backyard? For Jack, it is the beginning of a great adventure. With a little help from P.T. Wonder and a Giant, Jack learns a valuable lesson about true happiness. This musical production also features a host of other characters, including the Elegant Harp, Jill, Mother, Milky White, the Farmers, the Merchants, the Circus Performers, and the Wonder Beans.

Auditions will take place on Monday, June 24 at 10 am. Those auditioning should arrive at least 15 minutes early and plan to stay until noon. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are Jack, Mother, Milky White, the Magic Harp, Farmers, Merchants, the Giant, Jill, Circus Performers, and Wonder Beans. All students, from those entering 1st through recent high school graduates, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 10 am to 2:30 pm each day.

JACK AND THE BEANSTALK will be presented Saturday, June 29 at The Strand Theatre. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Moundsville is brought to you by the Evan G.
