Encompassing the Arts for Seniors - Rhythm in Music

Rhythm in Music – May 3, 10, 17 (no participation limit) Jason Birch, Sherrard Middle School band director, will lead the class in a foundation in understanding the significance of rhythm in music. Participants will become familiar with the bass and tone of drums, perform on instruments, improvise accompaniments, analyze and evaluate performances. The course goal will be to understand the significance of rhythm in music and its relation to history and culture.

SHOWCASE OF TALENTS – May 24 Class participants from all phases will gather to share their newly found knowledge in a culminating showcase.
