Join us May 19 for an evening of bluegrass music and popular tunes at the Strand. This special show includes nationally recognized Crandall Creek bluegrass band and regional favorite Eli and the Mojo Kings. 

The night begins with special guest Bruce Winges. Backed by Crandall Creek, he will share original songs from his Eastern Kentucky album. Moundsville based Crandall Creek will take the stage next, playing original music that respects the best traditions of bluegrass. Crandall Creek’s recent release “Refrigerator Homemade Picture Show” debuted at No. 11 on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Weekly Chart. The song, written by Jerry Andrews and Kathy Wigman Lesnock, features Shannon Slaughter on lead vocal. In 2022. Crandall Creek’s single “Molly Burns” debuted at No. 7 on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Weekly Chart. The accompanying video debuted at No. 1 on the Bluegrass Standard Video Chart, and to date has over 500 thousand views.

Popular Wheeling act Eli and the Mojo Kings will top off the evening. The Mojo Kings is a power-packed band that covers a variety of genres including rock & roll, R&B, pop and top 40. They perform music by legendary groups and artists such as Bruno Mars, Earth Wind & Fire, Justin Timberlake, Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Paul Simon and more. The Mojo Kings are led by Eli Lambie, a music teacher at Washington Lands Elementary School in Marshall County. Lambie was recently awarded the 2023 West Virginia General Music Teacher of the Year by the West Virginia Society of General Music, an affiliate of the West Virginia Music Educators Association,
