About The Event
The Strand Theatre Preservation Society is pleased to announce it will offer a new performance opportunity for students in grades 4-6. Students from across the region are invited to audition for this unique ensemble.
Audition Dates and Times
• Friday, February 15, 2019 (6:00-7:30pm)
• Saturday, February 16, 2019 (1:00-2:30pm)
• Students attend only ONE of the audition dates
Audition Material
Students will be asked to perform one verse of My Country ‘Tis of Thee OR one verse and chorus of America the Beautiful. Students will audition in small groups.
Member Responsibilities
Selected students will be announced on the Strand website and Facebook page on Monday, February 18, 2019. Registration forms and fees are due by Monday, February 25, 2019. Students are expected to attend rehearsals as listed and will present a concert on April 28, 2019.

Children’s Chorus Director
Kristen Allodi is currently in her eleventh year of teaching middle school chorus and general music at Jackson Middle School in Parkersburg, WV. During her tenure, the choir program has grown to include over 250 students. Beyond teaching, Miss Allodi has directed and choreographed numerous productions at the high school, college, community, and regional levels. In addition to directing, Miss Allodi is an active singer and performer who has been on stage throughout the region as well as overseas. Miss Allodi holds degrees from Miami University (OH) and West Liberty University. Additionally, she is a member of the West Virginia Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association.
