Children's Chorus
The Strand Theatre Preservation Society is pleased to offer a new performance opportunity for students in grades 4-6. Students from across the region are invited to participate in this ensemble.
Students must be recommended by their music/chorus teacher to be a member of our inaugural group!
Member Responsibilities Registration forms and fees are due before the first rehearsal. Mail forms/fees to Strand Theatre Preservation Society Children’s Chorus, 804 Fifth Street, Moundsville WV 26041. You may also submit forms/fees at the Strand Theatre during registration (5:00-pm-6:00 pm) just prior to our first rehearsal. Students must commit to attend all three rehearsals, and one public performance on Sunday, November 10, 2019. Students will wear black pants and solid white shirts during the performance.

Fee $10.00. Please make checks payable to The Strand Theatre Preservation Society. Registration form must be complete.
SCHEDULE
Friday, November 8 – Registration (5:00pm-6:00pm) and Rehearsal (6:00pm8:00pm)
Saturday, November 9 – Rehearsal (1:00pm-4:00pm)
Sunday, November 10 – Dress Rehearsal (report at 1:30pm)
Voices of Gratitude Performance (3:00-4:00pm)

DIRECTOR
Children’s Chorus Director Kristen Allodi is currently in her twelfth year of teaching middle school chorus and general music at Jackson Middle School in Parkersburg, WV. During her tenure, the choir program has grown to include over 250 students. Beyond teaching, Miss Allodi has directed and choreographed numerous productions at the high school, college, community, and regional levels. In addition to directing, Miss Allodi is an active singer and performer who has been on stage throughout the region as well as overseas. Miss Allodi holds degrees from Miami University (OH) and West Liberty University. Additionally, she is a member of the West Virginia Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association.
