Missoula Children's Theater

The Missoula Children’s Theatre Company returns to the Strand on June 19-24 offering a FREE acting workshop for children who have completed Kindergarten-age 18 and seniors! New this year, the intergenerational program King Arthur’s Quest, will include actors age 55 and up.

During the week, participants will be immersed in many aspects related to the production of a live stage show, culminating with a two public performances. Those interested will pre-register online beginning on May 8 at www.strandtheatrewv.com/events. If spots are still available, on-site registration will also be open prior to auditions. 

Pre-registrants/on-site registrants will audition Monday, June 19 from 10am to 12pm. All participants will audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Those auditioning should arrive at 9:30 and plan to stay until 12pm. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 10am-2:15pm each day. 

There is no cost to participate, but several additional enrichment workshops will be offered after daily rehearsals conclude. These workshops will immerse participants in more specific theatrical skills for a nominal fee. 

Two public performances of King Arthur’s Quest will be presented on Saturday, June 24 at the Strand Theatre.
